A Word of Caution
By now, almost everyone is aware of the deep cuts that were made to Joint Technical Education (JTED) Districts around the State last year as a result of Senate Bill 1617, which removed the funding for 9th grade students enrolled in Career and Technical Education (CTE) classes. Many of these same students opted to participate in one of our central program offerings which earned them up to two years of college credit.
At a time when college tuition rates are dramatically increasing all over the country, the value of this achievement is further amplified.
