CAVIAT Central Programs are enhanced CTE programs of study that are offered at post-secondary institutions, industry and/or CAVIAT owned facilities.These central programs may or may not follow a typical high school schedule.These programs allow students the ability to earn industry certification, college credit and internship opportunities.
Alternative Energy Technician
The Associate of Applied Science in Alternative Energy Technology will provide students with the skills to pursue a career in the Alternative Energy field.The student will be instructed through mastery learning components and field study workshops arranged with local contractors.
Two year program open to high school juniors and seniors. Taught on the Coconino Community College Campus, Flagstaff, Arizona.
Business
The AAS Business Degree program is designed to prepare students to enter the business profession, at an entry level position, with tracks in General Business, Accounting, and Leadership by providing the student with general knowledge and skills specializing in their area of interest.
Two year program open to high school juniors and seniors.Taught on the Coconino Community College Campus, Flagstaff, Arizona.
Online option available for students who live outside of the Flagstaff area.
Computer Gaming
The Computer Software Technology program is designed to prepare students for entry-level positions requiring computer application software skills.There is an emphasis on computer gaming in this program of study.
Two year program open to high school juniors and seniors.
Taught on the Coconino Community College Campus, Flagstaff, Arizona.
Electrical Technology
Upon successful completion of this 1 year program, students will have obtained their Electrical Level 1 and Level II NCCER (National Center for Construction Education and Research) certifications.This is a nationally accepted certification.Students will be eligible to begin their apprenticeship after high school graduation with local electrical contractors who are anxious to work with our graduating students.
One year program open to high school seniors only.
Industrial Maintenance
Students will be eligible to begin employment at various industrial sites within a variety of industries.Students may work up from entry level industrial mechanic or plant operator positions all the way to plant management.This program was created through the assistance of the Arizona Power Industry.However, the program prepares students for tasks that are common to industrial plants throughout the United States.
Upon successful completion of this 2 year program students will be nationally certified through the National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER).
Taught on the CAVIAT facility in Page, Arizona.
Nursing Assistant
The Nursing Assistant program prepares students to work in the health care industry in places such as Hospitals, Doctor's Offices, Nursing Homes, Assisted Care Facilities, and Home Health Care.This program is designed for students seeking an introduction to nursing assisting and the basic skills required for computations, documenting, team collaboration, communication, and client advocacy in the health care setting.Prepares students for entry level employment in acute care, long term care, and assisted living settings.
One semester program for high school seniors only.Students who successfully complete this program are eligible to take the State Certification Test at the end of the semester.

Pre-Health Careers
The Pre-Health Careers program assists students in completing the prerequisites to qualify for the nursing program at the Coconino Community College and other Arizona community colleges currently offering a nursing program, or to seek opportunities within Emergency Medical Services and some Allied Health fields.This Program of Study achieves the perquisites and some of the co-requisites required by the Coconino Community College prior to applying to their school of nursing.
